Merry Belated Christmas/Catch Up #1

I'm determined to get caught up on our first year and a half on our blog. I figured I'd start with this one, because I have to get this video posted before Christmas is too far in the past. For those of you that don't know, Ty broke his jaw last year on Thanksgiving morning. After a few x-rays, an ER visit, and a visit to a maxillofacial doctor (I had no idea what that meant until a year ago), Ty had a plate installed in his jaw and was wired shut for a week. Here's his Christmas wish to you all.

As miserable a week as it was for us both, there were obviously some funny moments. One of the highlights was playing Catch Phrase with a group of about 14 with Ty wired shut...you probably had to be there, but believe me, it was entertaining! Here are the before and after the wiring shots...hope you've got a strong stomach.

Before...poor guy, had no idea what he was in for.

And after...

Ty self-medicating through a syringe...SO SAD!!

And the culprit - the Turkey Bowl. Ty & his high-school friends get together and their IQ drops significantly. Let me explain thru mathematics: full contact football + no pads or helmets + Zo's leg = one broken jaw

Poor guy...what great memories though for your first year married! :) I got your card yesterday...super cute! You'll have to remind me where you got them printed. Anyways...welcome to the blogging scene. Check ours out at shawneeandbrady.com

That video clip of Ty trying to sing "We wish you a Merry Christmas" is sooo funny! I especially loved the groan of pain at the end! You and I will have to keep each other motivated to keep up on the blog scene!

Ha! That is sooo sad for Ty, but seriously hilarious for anyone watching that video!!

When I first started my blog, I was confused out of my mind too. Luckily, once you get it set up, all you have to do after that is just write the posts and make minor changes, so it gets easier and plus, you just kind of slowly get the hang of things!

Is it wrong that I found great joy in watching Ty's attempt at singing with his jaw sewn shut? There might be something wrong with me, but I LOVED it.

Poor Ty. Elise you need to be nicer to him, and quit beating on him. JK.
